Chaos Collage Monoprints

This abstract collage series is created from monoprints pulled on a gelli plate, layering textures, patterns, and fragments into dynamic black-and-white compositions. Each piece is built from cut and reassembled monoprints, creating a landscape of contrast, motion, and visual tension — a reflection of life’s inherent chaos and the shifting paths we navigate within it.

Amid the stark blacks and whites, yellow appears as the single intentional color, acting as a guiding thread. It symbolizes searching, insight, and the quiet illumination that helps us find our way through confusion or uncertainty. The yellow elements — sometimes bold, sometimes subtle — serve as points of orientation, reminders of the moments of clarity, hope, or instinct that cut through the noise.

The collages’ fragmented forms and layered textures evoke maps, tangles, pathways, and undone structures. Together, the series explores the interplay between disorder and direction, acknowledging that even in the most chaotic internal or external landscapes, there is always some glimmer of light leading us forward.
