Connection Series

This painting series explores the complexities of selfhood and relationship through abstract arrangements of sphere-like forms. Each sphere represents a “self” — an individual presence with its own emotional weight, internal world, and energetic signature. Though echoing the geometry of a sphere, these forms remain organic and imperfect, reflecting the fluid, evolving nature of human identity.

The compositions depict varying configurations of these shapes, illustrating different forms of connection: closeness, distance, tension, harmony, entanglement, and the quiet space between individuals. Symbolic lines weave throughout the paintings, denoting the invisible threads that bind people to one another — whether supportive, strained, vibrant, or fragile.

Color functions as an emotional language within the series. Bright, saturated hues express vitality, resonance, and the aliveness of being in community. Tonal, muted palettes evoke loneliness, introspection, or disconnection. The interplay of these colors maps the shifting states of relational experience.

Through abstraction, this series invites viewers to reflect on their own relationships — the ways we move toward and away from one another, how we shape and are shaped by those around us, and how connection remains one of the most essential, mysterious forces of being human.
